Benner Hall Playground

Our playdate was held as part of the Borough's Community Day activities. Families took a break from shopping our borough wide yard sales to have a cool drink and let the kids socialize a bit. We painted little "Rock buddy bugs" to be used in the children's garden that we will plant in the Spring. The kids were given some paint, rocks, and a few pictures for suggestions and then we let their imaginations free! After painting rocks, the kids played on our playground while the parents socialized, volunteered in cleaning up our yard, and signed the Kaboom! Beachball Petition for Play. It was a great little break in the day and the kids and parents loved meeting some neighbors and having a special project to work on together. We're all looking forward to planting a garden next Spring and hope to see lots of the same faces!

On our playdate we supplied the kids with rocks, paints, suggestions for creating "rock buddy bugs" and let them loose with creativity! The little bug buddies will be used in our garden in the spring.
