Concordia Place Fall Into Fun

as an ex employee that used to work for concordia place i can honestly say it is one of the best child care places in chicago not just for kids but for staff and for a community.They are always thinking what can we do next to help and always thinking of others and never asking for anything in return. so lets keep voting for concordia place because they deserve the new playground and grant  

my 2 year old daughter used to be a shy girl, now she enjoined the place a lot.
we switched from Mary Sears, which is no comparison to this one.

the event is of great fun

Children and adults enjoyed tying unity ribbons to our playlot fence.  They really added a lot of color and brightness!  The ribbons symbolized that all children, regardless of their differences, all have one similarity - they need play!

The Concordia Place Play Date was a huge success.  It was very well attended, and it was obvious that the 'kids of all ages' had a wonderful time.  The block was filled with activities that provided good, clean fun....well, except for the pansy planting, but the little gardeners enjoyed it anyway.  It was a well-organized, fun, and affordable event for all the families.  Thanks, Concordia Place!!

Everybody I talked to had an awesome time at Fall Into Fun.  One family in particular mentioned that they were grateful to have the opportunity to bring their 3 children to a playday like this because Concordia worked so hard to keep the cost low.  A fun and affordable event for families and the neighborhood!  

It was so nice to see so many families and friends of Concordia show up!  There were plenty of fun games and awesome prizes to be won for the kids.  My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time!

Children decorated flower boxes and planted pansies.  The flower boxes were then placed inside our playlot.

Children, parents, teachers, and neighbors signed "Beach Ball Petitions" to send to our legislators to advocate for play.  We filled 9 beach balls with names and signatures!

This playground is such a vaulable place in our neighborhood where children can be outside and active in a safe environment.  I'm very excited to see my neighbors and friends at the Play Day!

These photos were taken yesterday while a group of children were playing on the playground.  They enjoy the slide, the play house, and the beautiful weather!

The children at our school and in our neighborhood really enjoy our playlot.  We have a slide, a tunnel, a sensory table, and a play house.  One of the most noticeable features is the surface - woodchips.  The woodchips on their own provide the children with so much enjoyment.  They can use shovels to dig in the woodchips and make piles.  They can make woodchip "cake" and "soup" in the house to serve to their hungry friends.  Although it could use some improvements, our playlot is loved and valued for the rich learning experiences it brings us.
